Anaheim, CA- Matrix Shafts would like to congratulate the winner of the Texas Valero Open who used an OZIK 8M3 Black Tie in his TaylorMade RBZ STAGE 2 driver to take the win on Sunday and earn an invitation to the Masters.
“It was a great win for the Matrix tour team,” said Director of Tour Operations, Joe Miera. “We work really hard with every player each week to find the perfect shaft fit for them. Once we find that fit and see winning results like this, it is very rewarding and definitely keeps the momentum going.”
Having been the first model in the Matrix Flight System to be released, the OZIK M3 series represents the culmination of what Matrix has learned in recent years regarding what the young, aggressive power players on the PGA Tour demand. Designed on the industry leading and patented HD platform, the OZIK M3 features a low-launching, low-spinning ball flight often preferred by players with higher ball speed. The genesis of the M3 resonates from the flight model of the highly successful M2 series, a winner of numerous PGA Tour events including two Majors. Better players preferring additional stability in the tip section will benefit from the tightest design construct ever released by the Matrix R&D team.

Anaheim,CA- Matrix Shafts is pleased to announce the release of the OZIK Q3 Red Tie, the final shaft in the new Matrix Flight System. This evolutionary design resonates from the highly successful OZIK HD series, which was the #1 shaft model on the PGA Tour in 2011. The Q3 Red Tie is designed to increase stability and accuracy, resulting in a higher ball speed than ever before in our mid-launching, mid-spinning shafts.
Chief Designer of R&D, Daniel You, wanted to bring this model to a whole new performance level, taking his time to perfect the design to the very last detail.
“We had such great success with the HD series that we wanted to modify the structure to make it even better,” said Chief Designer of R&D, Daniel You. “This shaft profile fits fifty percent of all golfers, so we have had them in mind from the beginning planning stages of the Q3 to bring them something they have never seen before. We are confident that golfers who played the HD series will be very happy with the Q3 and what it will add to their golf game.”
The release of the mid-launching, mid-spinning Q3 Red Tie now joins the low-launching, low-spinning M3 Black Tie, and the high-launching, low-spinning X3 White Tie, to complete the Matrix Flight System.
The OZIK Q3 Red Tie will be making its debut at the 2013 PGA Show in Orlando, at the end of the month.

Anaheim, CA-Matrix Shafts would like to congratulate the winner of the Champions Tour-Mississippi Gulf Resort Classic, who took the win after a playoff on Sunday. Playing the OZIK X3 White Tie in his Adams LS 3-wood, this 2009 PGA Senior Championship winner shot -11 after 4 rounds. This was the second win in a row for Matrix Shafts on the Champions Tour.
The OZIK X3 White Tie was the second model released of the three new Matrix Flight System shafts. Representing the next gen OZIK XCON, the OZIK X3 White Tie fits golfers who prefer a high-launch, low-spin ball flight. The Matrix R&D team took the designs of the XCON and found a way to increase the stability and provide a tighter feel through the shaft in the X3, without having to increase the overall weight. With a progressively linear graduation at impact, the X3 White Tie is more efficient in energy, travel and transfer, resulting in a higher ball speed that stronger players prefer.
“It’s always great for the brand to have a win with one of our newest shafts,” said Director of Tour Operations, Joe Miera. “The Matrix Flight System was created to simplify the shaft selection process for golfers on all levels. This concept and these shaft models have been widely accepted from all tour playing fields. I look forward to hearing more great things about the Matrix Flight System shafts as we move further into the season.”

Anaheim, CA- The highly anticipated OZIK X3 White Tie has officially launched at Matrix Shafts. Originally introduced on tour at The Byron Nelson earlier this year as a prototype, the OZIK X3 White Tie has since undergone further improvements to the cosmetic design and structure.
The OZIK X3 is the next generation XCON performing with the same high launching, low spinning characteristics. MATRIX took the design of the XCON and found a way to increase the stability and provide a tighter feel through the shaft in the OZIK X3, without having to increase the overall weight. The OZIK X3 also differs from the XCON by having a progressively linear graduation at impact, making it more efficient in energy, travel and transfer, resulting in higher ball speed.
The X3 White Tie is the second part of the three part series of the new Matrix Flighting System, with the final structure being released at the PGA Show in January.
“The OZIK X3 had a great introduction on tour earlier this year and I am very pleased with the final product,” said Director of Tour Operations, Joe Miera. “We have seen such success on tour with the release of the OZIK M3 Black Tie earlier this year that I am only confident that we will continue to see great things in 2013 as we complete the new flight system.”
