Champions Tour Regions Tradition Winner Plays Matrix in Driver and 5-Wood

Anaheim, CA- Matrix Shafts would like to congratulate the winner of the Champions Tour Regions Tradition who played the 6M3 Black Tie in Adams XTD driver and the OZIK XCON in his TaylorMade RBZ 5-wood.

“The Matrix Tour team is very excited for this player and all of his accomplishments in the past year,” said Director of Tour Operations, Joe Miera. “He has been a long time Matrix user and the way he continues to win with Matrix in the bag is only a reflection of the consistency and quality our shafts perform with on every shot.”

The M3 Black Tie is a low-launching, low-spinning shaft, and sits at the bottom of the highly successful Matrix Flight System. Designed on the industry leading and patented HD platform, it is often preferred by players with higher ball speed and those who prefer additional stability in the tip section.

The OZIK XCON is a high-launching, low-spinning shaft and was replaced in 2012 by another part of the Matrix Flight System, the X3 White Tie. The Matrix R&D team took the designs of the XCON and found a way to increase the stability and provide a tighter feel through the shaft, without having to increase the overall weight. The OZIK X3 has a progressively linear graduation at impact, making it more efficient in energy, travel and transfer, resulting in higher ball speed.

HP Byron Nelson Champion Plays Matrix OZIK TPHD in Driver

Anaheim, Ca- Matrix Shafts would like to congratulate the winner of the HP Byron Nelson Championship who used the TP6HD in his TaylorMade R1 driver, to not only capture his first PGA Tour win, but finish first in overall driving accuracy for the tournament.

“We are very happy for this player on getting his first PGA Tour victory with our product in the bag,” said Director of Tour Operations, Joe Miera. “Our R&D team did an amazing job in designing this unique structure, and even more so in the new TPHDe. They do a great job of taking player feedback and creating structures that meet their performance requests. The TPHD is one of these structures, and only continues to gain momentum and improve player’s games week after week.”

The OZIK TPHD is a mid-high launching, mid-high spinning shaft created with the world’s finest materials and state-of-the-art design techniques. The next generation TPHD, the OZIK TPHDe, was recently released from the Matrix R&D just last week. The new TPHDe design follows the same state-of-the-art techniques as the original TPHD shaft, however the HD technology that is used in the TPHDe has actually been extended through the shaft (e=extended) allowing for a stronger, even more stable structure.

The OZIK TPHDe has an MSRP of $1250 and can be purchased at a Matrix dealer near you. For more information visit www.matrixshafts.com.

Matrix Shafts Releases New OZIK TPHDe

The Matrix R&D department, responsible for the creation of multiple Major winning shafts, is pleased to announce the release of the OZIK TPHDe, the next generation TPHD.

Created with the finest materials available, all brought together from different countries around the world, the TPHDe joins the OZIK families most premium line. The multi-material Interply design combines boron, zylon and GMAT, to create this advanced structure, more stable and more detailed than any design structure ever before released.

The TPHDe design follows the same state-of-the-art techniques as the original TPHD shaft, however the HD technology that is used in the TPHDe has actually been extended through the shaft, e=extended. With its 16 sided internal platform (hexadecagonal), HD design allows for new levels of structural strength.

“Not only did we redesign the structure of the TPHDe with the extension of the HD design, we re-defined the flex profiles and optimized them with feedback we received from PGA Tour Players to create a tour caliber shaft,” said Director of R&D, Tom DeShiell.

This mid-spinning, mid-launching shaft features a modern day design concept unlike anything ever designed by Matrix before. The MSRP for the TPHDe is $1250.00 and is available at a Matrix dealer near you.
